Background Screening / Verification

What this means, specifically

Background screening covers records that either don't have a single institutional owner to call directly, or that legally require going through an official government application process. We split this category honestly into what we can confirm ourselves versus what we file and track on your behalf through the relevant authority.

Direct-source checks

• Digital & media footprint check — a structured review of a subject's public online presence, news mentions, and social footprint for reputational or risk signals. This is genuinely software-assisted and delivered quickly.

Managed government applications

These records are held by government bodies with fixed official processes and timelines that no verification company controls. We file the application, track it, and follow up — we don't promise to bypass the process.

• Criminal record check — we file and track the Police Character Certificate application through the Nigeria Police Force.
• Birth certificate verification — managed application and confirmation through the National Population Commission.
• Driver's licence verification — managed application and verification through the Federal Road Safety Corps.

In development — not offered yet

Health record verification and credit score checks are sometimes marketed as standard background-screening services elsewhere. We're not offering either yet: there's no established, compliant channel for health record verification in-market today, and credit score checks legally require a licensed credit bureau subscription we don't yet hold. We'd rather list these honestly as unavailable than imply a capability we don't have.
