Primary Source Verification
We contact the institution that holds the record ourselves — no aggregators, no data brokers, no inference from partial matches.

"Primary source" is a claim we take literally: for every check in this category, we go directly to the institution that issued or holds the record — the employer, the university or examination body, the Corporate Affairs Commission — rather than relying on a third-party database, a candidate's self-reported documents, or an aggregator that may itself be several steps removed from the original source.
Records that require going through a government application process rather than a direct institutional confirmation — criminal records, birth certificates, driver's licences — sit under Background Screening instead, because they work differently and move on different timelines. We separate them so you always know which kind of check you're ordering.
Because these checks go directly to the source rather than through a government queue, they're typically our fastest category — though timing still depends on how quickly the institution itself responds.
